Hello,
i:ve finally found cheap internet. its free actually and i haven:t quite figured out why. due to Lost in Translation, i had some pretty high expectations of japan. it has met every one that i could think of. i:ve been in a packed elevator where i was a good foot taller than everyone else. i had a conversation with a really really old lady, where i had absolutely no idea what she was trying to say. i had a glass of wine on the 45 floor of an amazing building. there was even a guy playing piano. and i played Pachinko!!! i didn:t win, but i had a great time. its their version of a slot machine, with little metal balls that fall through pegs.
i checked out a temple and shrine in Asakusa where a nice japanese man showed me around. I think he wanted to practice his english. there was this fortune/prayer thing where you pick one stick out of a hundred. i got prayer number 36, which was a semi good fortune--something about delayed good luck. he got a *bad fortune* which started out with something like...thunder bolts will reign from the sky...
my fortune (a half-good, fortune. good but delayed).
one of the temples. it was really good lighting when i was there.
at night i went to electric city where you can buy anything that runs on electricity...anything. its not really cheaper and i didn:t need anything, but it was great to shop around.
today i:m going to Shibuya, which is where all the hip japanese people go. i:m hoping to take some sweet pictures.
these are some random pictures:
have a good day
happy christmas
your friend
chad
